OUR BELIEF ON GIVING

Why Your Giving Matters

Why We Believe New Testament Giving Should Exceed 10%

Why We Believe New Testament Giving Should Exceed 10%

At ReBrand House, every gift you sow goes far beyond money—it fuels the work of the Gospel. Your generosity makes it possible for lives to be transformed, for families to be restored, for young people to find their purpose, and for entire communities to encounter Jesus in a real way.

When you give, you’re not just supporting a church—you’re investing in eternity. Every soul that hears the message of Christ, every child that is discipled, every life that is touched through outreach is fruit that abounds to your account (Philippians 4:17).

God takes your giving personally. He sees your sacrifice, He honors your obedience, and He multiplies your seed. Scripture promises that “God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8).

That means your generosity doesn’t leave your life—it goes ahead of you. It comes back as provision, peace, protection, and opportunities you could never orchestrate on your own. You are never poorer for giving; you are always richer in faith, richer in love, and richer in God’s reward.

Why We Believe New Testament Giving Should Exceed 10%

Why We Believe New Testament Giving Should Exceed 10%

Why We Believe New Testament Giving Should Exceed 10%

  • Grace always goes beyond law.
Under the law, people gave the tithe (10%). But in Christ, we’re not limited by law—we’re propelled by love. Jesus said, “You have heard… but I say to you…” (Matthew 5) showing that grace raises the standard, not lowers it.
👉 If the law set the baseline at 10%, then grace should inspire above and beyond.

  • We follow Christ’s example of sacrificial giving.
“Though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you by His poverty might become rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9).
Jesus didn’t give 10% of Himself—He gave 100%. Our giving reflects that sacrificial, all-in love.

  • The early church gave far more than a tithe.
Acts 4:32–35 records believers selling land and possessions to meet needs. Their culture was not minimal, but radical generosity.

10% as the Training Ground (the Minimum)

  • For those just learning generosity, the tithe is a starting point, not the finish line.
  • Malachi 3:10 reminds us that the tithe opens the door of blessing. In the New Testament, we view it as a foundation for giving, not the full structure.
  • If someone struggles with giving, 10% is a healthy discipline baseline that builds faith, consistency, and kingdom-mindedness.

The ReBrand Culture of Giving

  • We don’t give to get; we give because we’ve received.
  • We don’t stop at the minimum; we overflow with maximum generosity.
  • We encourage everyone: If you can give more, do more. If you can’t, start with the tithe and grow from there.

🌟 In Short

  • Law required 10% → Grace inspires more than 10%.
  • 10% = minimum → A healthy starting point for those learning stewardship.
  • More than 10% = maturity → A New Testament, Spirit-led culture of generosity.
